When we moved to Magnolia, it was very important that I had enough land to start my new garden. The land originally was farm land (truck farming), so the soil, despite being clay heavy, was easy to work and could grow crops. I started my backyard garden in Mansfield in 1999, after moving there from Foxboro. The property was large enough so that I and my dad could both have areas to grow mainly tomatoes, peas and lettuce.
